What happened when Funky went on safari

What we’ve been working on: We’ve just signed off this clean, sleek logo for a luxury bush lodge in South Africa, which will be rolled out on stationery, signage and later a website. The elephant outline was created freehand after much research, and we chose a slim, elegant font to convey a sense of luxury.

Why it matters: Research is crucial to any design project – every font, colour and even line weight has a whole history behind it. Research gives context to design, and also ensures that your new logo doesn’t accidentally resemble someone else’s.
